The cashier named Dana never said hello or greeted me. I felt like an invisible customer. She was effective in bagging the groceries, told me my total and gave me my receipt. I would like to at least be greeted when I shop and go to a full service check out. The caliber of workers has gone down in this store. Customer service doesn't seem to mean anything anymore.
I went to the service desk when I walked in and dropped money on the floor, not aware I did that. I went on my way. The girl working behind the counter found me shortly after to make sure I got my money back and I was pleased. I don't know her name but it was around 1 pm on Monday. I was so thankful for her taking the time to look for me. She's a great employee. Thank you again.
Idk what happened in the bakery, prices went way up and quality down. The cakes are different texture.
GE needs to get a handle on their pest problem. There are so many flies. Last week I had to leave the bakery mid order from our daughter’s birthday cake because there were what seemed to be at least 15 flies landing on everything; including orders they were actively making.
Today, I had to walk away from a prepared foods order for a similar reason (see attached image).
The entire staff laughed and said “nothing we can do about it”.
I did speak with a manager today, and he promised to have their contracted pest control vendor look in to it- further warning it get 3x as worse when the fair animals come to town for the Canfield Fair.
This is down right disgusting.
I was promised I would get a follow up from Store Manager Seth in the near future, and I really hope he follows through.
I am offended because this is where our community and my family buy groceries.
None of us should have to accept this from a company that has the means to resolve the issue.
They don't have a drive up pharmacy, you have to go inside to pick up prescriptions.

Store looks very modern and clean. Well stocked too. Great sale prices on the steaks today so I picked up a few. Cashier was nice enough. I wish the Salem location looked this good.
